I hope you are all having a wonderful summer. As we relax and unwind, let us not forget that August is not that far away- and neither is our new group of students. So, let's work together to make sure we give each student the best instruction we can give them. If you are working on lessons and units for next year, please make sure you are utilizing the Common Core Standards to get used to them. Looking at the Cambridge Curriculum, I know the senior teachers are already adapting what we do to become more familiar and comfortable with the Cambridge assessments. I would encourage us all to do some adapting to better prepare for the next wave of Cambridge. It is not going to be an easy road with the new curriculum, but it is going to be an adventure and the more we work together as a team, the easier the transitions will be.

New Adventures
Welcome to our blog, English department!!!
I am hoping that we can use this additional tool in our newest quest for excellence. No, we are not going to be blogging during class time, but we can blog before and after school, on weekends, etc. This can be a tool to help us with collaboration and sharing ideas.
I know our blog will be the most eloquent... we are the English Department. :)
